Schupfer paints female figures in poses that speak to safety and intimacy — bodies often intertwined, their boundaries blurred rather than fixed or anatomically precise. This blurring is intentional: it mirrors the way selfhood, especially as a woman, rarely moves in a straight line.

Her work is rooted in an ongoing discovery of femininity and companionship, shaped by a constant questioning of spirituality, humanity, and what it means to live a purposeful life. Painting becomes a way of sitting with those questions rather than answering them.

Schupfer works in soft color palettes and semi-transparent brushstrokes, letting forms bleed into one another. This softness holds sensuality and closeness in the same space, without forcing them into resolution.

Her paintings offer a kind of comfort in simplicity, even as they suggest something more complicated underneath. The viewer is invited to sit with that tension between ease and entanglement, clarity and ambiguity and find their own reading of what closeness looks like.
